| What is energy healing?
Energy healing is a holistic approach to aid in optimal health and well-being. It assists individuals in balancing their mental, physical, and spiritual health. Our body has an amazing ability to self-heal and is amazingly resilient, continuously adapting to physical, mental, and emotional challenges. Energy work approaches the body as a whole system that has interrelated systems. Keeping all of the parts of the system balanced is necessary for sustained well-being. As your body's system works to maintain balance for good health, energy healing assists by gently removing blockages that, over time, have the ability to cause sickness in the body. Healing work promotes balance, ease, and optimal health overall. Healing work is safe for all ages and compliments all modalities of care.

Reiki
Reiki (ray-key) is a Japanese hands-on healing technique discovered in the late 1800s by Mikao Usui. Rei = spiritually guided or life force energy. It is a spiritual energy that can be used to help in meditation practices, spiritual growth, aid in healing relationships, help with the manifestation of goals, and alleviate stress and tension in the body. Energy is transmitted via hands on care by yourself or others, helping to restore energy balance and vitality by relieving the physical and emotional effects of unreleased stress. Reiki gently opens and clears the blocked energy channels leaving one feeling relaxed and at peace.
Qigong
Qigong (chee gong) is an ancient healing practice originating in China that brings your mind, body, and heart energy together to achieve balance through meditative movements and sitting meditation. The Chinese call the energy in one's body "qi" meaning "life energy." Gong mean "work" or "benefits acquired through perseverance and practice." Thus, Qigong means working with the life energy and learning to control the flow and distribution of qi to improve the health and harmony of mind and body. When qi runs smoothly in the body, life is good and one is healthy. When the flow of qi is interrupted, energy blockages form and can lead to physical or mental health problems. When qi stops completely, this is the end of life.
